LOK MEDIA MONDAY VOL. 5

LOK MEDIA MONDAY VOL. 5

Hare Krishna!  Welcome to LOK.MEDIA Monday Vol. 5.  In this issue, we share the latest developments in ISKCON Pandharpur, our preaching activities, website, and LOK.STUDIO.

LOK.STUDIO:  Maharashtra is the number one COVID hotspot in the world.  For safety sake, we have sent our carpenters home until the current full lockdown is over.  Before they left, they built our custom ceiling tiles, which next need to be filled with polyester batting, and fitted into our ceiling grid.  We painted the interior of the studio a nice indigo blue, and outside a bright magnolia.  Amit Prabhu, our site supervisor and I began work on planning our wiring – electrical, data, and audio.  We are working to complete the wiring planning over the course of the next  week or so.  We have incorporated Aputure MC RGB lights into H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaja’s online japa presentations, lighting up Tulasi devi in a variety of colored hues.  Shopping is going on to upgrade Jagannath Prabhu’s laptop with a new hard drive and additional RAM.  We are also shopping for a teleprompter and planning a new internet infrastructure.

Sanyasa Video:   We joined hands with HG Anant Vrindavan Prabhu, one of ISKCON’s premier creatives, who is helping us with the creative concepts and editing of the condensed version (6 and ½ minutes) of the Sri Krishna Chaitanya Swami sannyasa video.  We are planning for a version suitable for distribution to both devotees and non-devotees.  We shot additional B Roll sequences with Ajit Prabhu from LOK.ARCHIVES of the Chandrabhaga River, and additional scenes around ISKCON Pandharpur.

LOK.MEDIA website:  Information about Sri Krishna Caitanya Swami’s Sannyasa is on our homepage:  https://lok.media/We have booked a new web domain, skcswami.com and plan to shift all of the media about the sannyasa to this new domain.  Meetings are going on to plan how to develop this new website, soon to be under construction.

LOK MEDIA MONDAY VOL. 4

Hare Krishna!  Welcome to LOK.MEDIA Monday Vol. 4.  In this issue, we share the latest developments in our preaching activities, website, and LOK.STUDIO.

LOK.STUDIO:  We have purchased a professional light and light dome.  H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaja is using this light for his morning japa sessions and japa talks.  For the first time, viewers online have a clear darshan of all the transcendental features of Maharaja’s face, especially his beautiful, soft and compassionate eyes.  We have started painting the studio.  Work is in progress on the electricity and wiring.

Sannyasa Video:  We uploaded the live video feed of Sri Krishna Caitanya Swmai’s Sannyasa Initiation here:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sz_ouNQSGPY

Nice to see devotees are taking interest.  We have 13,302 views.   We are in the process of uploading high resolution files and pictures of the event.  We are producing a 7 minute condensed version of the video entitled “The Matchless Gift”.  We plan to have this ready next week.

LOK.MEDIA MONDAYS Volume 1

LOK.MEDIA MONDAYS Volume 1

Welcome to LOK.MEDIA MONDAY! We plan to offer you the latest news from LOK.MEDA every Monday.

LOK.MEDIA: We worked on our website. We added a photo gallery, and added a new blog template. We made several blog entries. We started a new blog category, “LOK.NECTAR” for Krishna conscious topics as inspired by my personal association with H.H. Lokanath Swami Maharaja. I have been with Maharaja continuously for the past year and I feel that this is a good opportunity to keep an account of some of Maharaja’s nectarian instructions.

We have begun work on a 16 page article for Back to Godhead Magazine on the Glories of Sri Pandharpur Dhama. Today, Dinesh Prabhu, a professional photographer arrived in Pandharpur to begin three days of shooting for the article.

Yesterday, H.H. Lokanath Maharaja requested me to prepare a short video giving a tour of Sri Pandharpur Dhama. Taking help of Bhakta Amit Prabhu and Bhakta Dhaval Prabhu, we got some beautiful footage. We premiered it online during Maharaja’s presentation on Zoom to the congregation of ISKCON Bergen County, New Jersey, USA.

LOK.STUDIO: This week, our team of three carpenters were hard at work. They put in two window frames designed to accommodate double glass windows. The butterfly doors (2 doors in one door frame), are hung in their frames. We constructed a shed to protect our Air Conditioning System.

This coming week we are looking forward to the visit of HG Sri Krishna Bhajan Prabhu from Pune who will help oversee the wiring for the AC system, as well as starting the next and final phase of the AC installation, which we plan to complete by March 14. Carpenters will continue their work by applying veneer to the doors, and completing the third and last window frame.

Musical Doors

Musical Doors

March 4, 2021:  Devotees in our Prabhupada Ashray ashram are asking when the wood work will be finished.  So much music from the sound of the electric tools trimming down the wooden doors!  Our carpenter assured me that only two more days and the doors will be finished.  4 doors.  16 hinges.  Then working on the third and last window.  Work is going on…
